JASPER In-Frame Shaker Wimborne White & Indigo
An absolutely stunning large home renovation project, nestled in the countryside. High ceilings, and highly bespoke details deliver the wow factor on mulitple counts.
Upon arrival into the entrance hallway of this magnificant family home, hidden away in the Hampshire countryside, you are immediately presented with the large open-plan kitchen/living area just off the hallway. With the pool in the background, our mission was to strike a chord for all visitors instantly when entering this wonderful kitchen space.
Although the sunken open-plan space is huge, the actual kitchen space was limited due to internal and external door positions. Therefore we decided to go for a symetrical bank of floor-to-ceiling tall bespoke cabinetry, meaning we needed to ensure sufficient worktop space was achieved solely within the huge island - no mean feat when trying to also incorporate the hob and sink within the island at the same time!
Millimeter precision during the design stage was paramount to calculate adequate preparation zones to ensure the kitchen functions as highly as the aesthetics. Quartz slab sizing limited us to 3200mm wide, so to achieve a little more we also added an oak-topped feature pastry bench, thus providing an extra space for preparation and bespoke storage (more on this below).
We finished the island in feature framed shaker end panels for a stunning period look (and the first thing you see when entering from the hallway), and continued the framed panel look throughout the tall bank of cabinets as well.
We also incorporated 2x large bifolding pantry cabinets within the tall run (one of which with an integrated microwave), which allowed our client to store essential electrical goods such as the coffee machine and toaster still on a work surface, remaining plugged in and ready for use, but most importantly with the ability to close everything away and out of sight when not in use.

The pastry bench not only provides additional preparation space, but it was important to dedicate this space specifically for vegetable storage. We designed and crafted the oak drawers to have open metal grilles to provide the crucial airflow to keep produce as fresh as possible, for as long as possible.
The internals also feature some highly bespoke details - beneath the coffee machine you’ll find a bespoke oak drawer equipped with custom coffee pod rebated holders (next to the precisely calculated teabag cubby holes sections). Bespoke knife block drawer, with anti-slip matting below, bespoke cling-film internal dispenser, and 2x oak lined spice and olive oil pull-outs, conveniently located either side of the Bora X vented induction hob.
Vertical baking tray compartments are becoming an increasingly requested feature from our clients, so we added this above one of the two full-sized steam ovens (and rightly so in our opinion!)
The finishing touches to the design was the illuminated open topboxes, expertly designed and built to the clients exact dimensions, to showcase some highly desirable collectors items (not in this photoshoot) to enable the clients to display their valued items out of reach, but very much within sight.
