Regent in-frame shaker Puck
STUNNING Multi-Room Bespoke Project – Kitchen, Pantry, Utility, Linen Room, Dressing Room & Annex
This was a huge multi-room project forming part of an extensive extension and full house renovation.
We were tasked with designing, manufacturing and installing the impressive main kitchen, hidden walk-through pantry, utility room, linen room, dressing room, and a self-contained annex kitchen.
We worked very closely with the clients from the earliest stages of planning, which allowed complete flexibility over the layout and detailing. By involving us before any structural decisions were finalised, the entire living space could be designed around the kitchen itself - a perfect example of why it’s never too early to start planning the kitchen within a large project.
We had such a great time designing and bringing these rooms to life for such wonderful clients, who we would class now as good friends - who trusted us to transform their home into something truly special.

The Kitchen
Painted in Little Greene ‘Puck’, the kitchen combines bold colour with natural warmth. Aged copper hardware (including matching copper oven trims) contrasts beautifully with strong natural oak accents, while a live-edge 40 mm rustic oak island worktop from Spekva provides a stunning centrepiece.
Every element is bespoke. Cabinet and worktop heights were increased to suit the clients’ preferred prep height, and details such as carved skirting plinths allow closer proximity to the sink and hob. Storage has been meticulously considered, including bifolding breakfast pantry, glazed illuminated wall cabinets, vertical oven-tray storage, and some highly bespoke white oak drawers throughout, plus pull-out internal drawers below each oven.
Because the kitchen design began so early in the build process, we were able to make architectural suggestions to benefit the overall design so one area the client adjusted was the window height to align perfectly flush with the worktop with the original concept for a bifolding bar window evolving into a pocket window system that retracts fully into the wall, creating a completely open serving hatch to the garden - an incredible feature that required meticulous planning and site coordination with the builders but was absolutely worth it!
Behind the hob, a boxed quartz shelf holds everyday cooking essentials, sitting beneath a bronze wall-mounted pot filler and gold swathe antique mirrored splashback. A rustic-industrial feel is added through an exposed brick feature wall and floating oak display shelves.
We designed the shaker doors exclusively with the client, and we created a double-beaded in-frame shaker, featuring a decorative Regency-style bead around each centre panel with a subtle cockbead detail to the frame. All elements were finished with a specialist wire-brush treatment to bring out the best of the beautiful natural ash grain.

Dressing Room
The master suite dressing room is an impressive space, inspired by the clients’ Moroccan theme. The cabinetry is finished in a modern bronze tone with a subtle cobra-textured surface, paired with antique bronze bar handles and antique mirrored wall tiles.
Rebated LED strip lighting throughout gives a luxurious ambience.
The angled ceilings posed a design challenge, but we maximised every millimetre by creating deep lower cabinets (up to 900 mm deep) with large bespoke drawers — and even incorporated a hidden, phone-activated safe within the design.

Annex Kitchen
The final space is the annex kitchen, located in a detached outbuilding. The brief was for a highly functional kitchen to serve both the garden and visiting guests, independent from the main house.
Proportions were key due to the vaulted ceiling, so cabinetry heights were tailored accordingly. A warm combination of navy cabinetry and solid oak worktops complements the exposed beams perfectly. Despite its compact footprint, the annex includes a built-in fridge, oven with microwave, induction hob, dishwasher, and ample cupboard and drawer space - everything guests need for complete independence.

“For us, the kitchen is the heart of our home, so we spent a long time looking around various showrooms and contacting many different suppliers, before settling on Ella Austin. We absolutely loved working with Steve, as he offered a perfect partnership that suited us. We had some bold ideas, which didn’t seem to faze the team and they have gone the extra mile to make sure that we had exactly what we imagined.
Steve also made several design suggestions based on his experience, which have been so very helpful and we have implemented into our kitchen. We must have changed our design 7 times, if not more, and then the installation team brought it all to life coordinating the fitout logistics with our builders very professionally - nothing was too much trouble for the team at any stage, so now we genuinely have our dream kitchen and have been enjoying for almost a year now. Ella Austin have also made our pantry and utility, we had a smaller budget for those, so with a few changes, such as cabinetry frames and draw materials, they were able to create something as beautiful that fitted our budget.
Another incredible thing about the team is that although our project may have finished almost a year ago, the after care and service are still available to us. So if we ever have any questions or anything needing adjustment, the team are very responsive and helpful. We have been very happy with the service throughout and are incredibly grateful to Steve and his team for helping create our dream home! Thank you”
