Aldana Taupe Grey & Willow
This project saw the creation of a warm, characterful bespoke kitchen designed to sit at the heart of a newly reconfigured family home.
The brief was clear from the outset: a kitchen that felt timeless and welcoming, with plenty of practical storage, strong everyday functionality and a calm, natural palette that would sit comfortably alongside the surrounding open‑plan living and dining space.
We designed and handcrafted a classic shaker kitchen, finished in Willow - a rich olive green paired with Taupe Grey - soft, neutral tall cabinetry to keep the overall scheme light and balanced. The layout is anchored by a large central island, creating a natural focal point and sociable hub for family life. One side of the island provides generous seating, while the working side houses deep bespoke drawers, integrated appliances and a sleek induction hob, allowing the clients to cook and entertain with ease.

Quartz worktops run throughout the kitchen, chosen for their durability and subtle veining, and are paired with a statement farmhouse sink positioned beneath open shelving. This run of cabinetry is backed with tongue‑and‑groove panelling, introducing texture and a relaxed, almost freestanding feel. Aged brass taps, handles and shelf brackets add warmth and character, tying in beautifully with the green cabinetry and reinforcing the timeless nature of the design.
Open shelving was carefully proportioned and detailed to allow everyday ceramics, artwork and personal pieces to be displayed without overwhelming the space. This layering of functional storage and personal styling gives the kitchen a lived‑in, welcoming quality while keeping frequently used items close to hand.
Storage was a key priority throughout the design. Internally, all drawers are constructed in solid oak and fitted with tailored dividers to keep everything neatly organised. A full‑height pantry cupboard was designed to sit seamlessly alongside the tall units; behind its doors sits a beautifully detailed oak interior with shelving, internal drawers and integrated lighting, creating a highly practical feature that feels special every time it is opened.
The island also incorporates an integrated wine fridge and an under-counter fridge, both seamlessly built into the cabinetry to keep everyday essentials and drinks close to hand when entertaining. In addition, a fully integrated washing machine has been discreetly built into the sink run, maintaining the clean lines of the design while ensuring the space works hard for busy family life.
Integrated ovens and appliances are housed neatly within the tall cabinetry to maintain a calm, uncluttered look, and careful coordination with the wider build team ensured electrics, plumbing and underfloor heating were all planned well in advance to suit the final kitchen layout.
The finished result is a kitchen that feels both refined and relaxed – a space that works effortlessly for busy family life while still delivering on detail, craftsmanship and thoughtful design. High‑quality materials, considered proportions and bespoke joinery come together to create a kitchen that will age beautifully and continue to be enjoyed for many years to come.
